Terms of Service
Last updated 23 July 2026
These terms are between you and BRAZAUSTRA PTY LTD (ABN 45 647 949 488), trading as DeskAli ("we", "us"). By creating a DeskAli account you agree to them.
1. What DeskAli does
DeskAli answers calls to a phone number you divert to us. An AI receptionist speaks to the caller, takes details, and records what was said. You then see those calls and bookings in the app and on the web dashboard.
Ali is software, not a person, and she will sometimes be wrong. She can mishear a name, an address or a price. Every booking she takes is a draft for you to check, which is why nothing is confirmed until you confirm it. Do not rely on DeskAli alone for anything where a mistake would be expensive or unsafe.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and using DeskAli for a business.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
- Give us accurate business details. Your number and its regulatory paperwork depend on them.
3. Recording calls is your responsibility
DeskAli records and transcribes calls from members of the public. In most Australian states it is against the law to record a call without letting the other party know. You are responsible for making sure callers are told. Ali announces the recording in every greeting and that safeguard cannot be turned off in the app.
You are also responsible for handling your callers' information lawfully once it is in your account. We hold it for you; we do not own it.
4. What you must not do
- Use DeskAli for unsolicited marketing calls, or for any unlawful purpose.
- Divert a number you are not entitled to control.
- Attempt to reach another customer's account or data.
- Present Ali as a human being to callers who ask.
- Resell DeskAli as your own product without a written agreement with us.
5. Paying for it
- Subscriptions are monthly and paid in advance. Website subscriptions are processed through Stripe; subscriptions offered in the iOS app are processed by Apple. Prices and applicable taxes are shown before purchase.
- DeskAli does not automatically charge per-minute overages. If usage repeatedly exceeds the included allowance, we may ask you to move to a suitable plan before the next billing period.
- Cancel at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not refund part-months.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice in the account dashboard.
6. Your phone number
DeskAli may issue you an Australian number to divert calls to. A DeskAli-issued number remains ours and is not portable to another provider. Your existing business number remains yours when you use call diversion, which you can stop by dialling ##002#. If you separately ask us to port your existing number, ownership and port-out arrangements are governed by the carrier process and your written port request.
7. Availability
We work to keep DeskAli running at all times but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Phone networks, AI providers and hosting platforms all sit between a caller and a booking, and any of them can fail. Keep your own phone able to receive calls.
8. Ending it
- You can delete your account at any time from the account menu. It removes your data permanently, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Deleting an account cancels an active website subscription in Stripe. Apple subscriptions must be cancelled separately in Apple Account settings; deleting the DeskAli account does not stop Apple's renewal.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, does not pay, or is being used in a way that puts our carriers or other customers at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
9. Liability
Nothing here excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where those rights apply and we are permitted to limit our liability, we limit it to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Beyond that, we are not liable for business losses arising from a missed call, a mistaken booking, or an interruption to the service — including lost profits or lost customers. Our total liability in any twelve-month period will not exceed what you paid us in that period.
10. Changes and law
If we change these terms we will update the date above and provide an account notice before anything material takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
